Paddle Club Meet Up:
Trancas Crossing Park

Rent with NVP or bring your own gear! Our next meet up at Trancas Crossing Park is going to be epical!  Ride the clear, freshwater flows from the Oaknoll AVA into through the Oxbow where you will catch the ebb tide and ride brakish water to Kennedy Park for a picnic in the redwood grove.

Paddle Club Meet Up:
Jim Town to Healdsburg

Limited to 6 paddlers.  Inflatable paddle boards only.  Not for beginners.   Ride the freshwater runoff during a brief window when flows drop below a certain threshold.   

DATE: Mid to late May, depending on flows.  Two-week window during decent rain years.

TIME: 8 AM (worth taking a day off work!)

Paddle Club Meet Up:
Full Moon Paddle

Join our flotilla in Los Carneros to paddle Fagan Preserve during sunset then navigate 3-miles of meandering slough during slack tide under light of the Strawberry Moon!  This trip sells out but we do it again in July.

Is the water cold?

With the closest warm water paddling to San Francisco, the Napa River is comfortably warm in the summer months with average temperatures in the 70s. Expect cooler water in the off-season with winter water temperature averaging 58 degrees.

Will we get wet?

There is a slight chance of falling in the water. However, our guides will teach all guests the skills needed to stay on their boards and enjoy the ride. All paddlers do need to know how to swim.

What should we bring?

Dress as if you are going to go swimming. A swimsuit, shorts, shirt, sunscreen, hat, towel and water bottle are essential during the warmer months. In the cooler months, neoprene pants and shirts are ideal. There may be early morning fog and cooler temperatures at the time of your class, so be mindful of this when choosing clothing. Layering your clothing so that you can shed a jacket or long sleeve shirt during the paddle is ideal.

Do we need our own equipment?

No. We’ll provide all of the equipment you’ll need — paddleboards and/or kayaks, paddles and PFDs.
