PARKING
Ample parking near the Harbor Master Building above the boat ramp with immediate access from the Highway.  This is a great way to avoid the hastle of parking downtown.

DISTANCES

Centrally located with convenient access to both downtown and wetlands

1.67-mile paddle north into town

2-mile paddle south to reach the bucolic wetlands and estuary

Pro Tip: Wind blows downriver beginning at 1 pm on average and can be fierce in the Spring and early Summer.  Start early and ride the wind back from downtown for a leisurely experience.

NVP operates out of SAV UP Crossfit and will deliver your equipment to the Petaluma Marina; if the kids throw in the towel early we can pick up the equipment downtown easily.  Uber is readily available.

Water shoes are not essential but are preferred by many of our guests. Others prefer flip-flops or paddling barefoot. Dress in layers and synthetic clothing (it will dry faster than cotton).
